THE STORY

Like many memories, this handbag is both faded and vivid.

The body of the handbag is made of plush, printed upholstery material from Fabric Planet. Diamond shapes on the front and back panel were hand-quilted. The red leather and the baby pink bridal satin originates from letterman jackets and bomber jackets, respectively.

As a manufacturer, I was always on the hunt for innovative fabrics which I could add my own flourish to. The sides of the bag are acid-washed and overdyed denim, which I had made in a specialty wash & dye company in DTLA.
